CAMP AFTERMATH
REFER SOMEONE
Sometimes the first step begins with someone who sees that a person could benefit from connection, purpose and a community that understands service.

Camp Aftermath serves Veterans, serving military members, first responders and frontline professionals.
Camp Aftermath is a long-term program built around identity, purpose, belonging, peer connection and continuity.
PHASE 1
Screening helps determine whether Camp Aftermath is an appropriate program fit and whether the person is at the right point in their journey. For those moving forward, virtual connection and preparation begin before the residential phase.
PHASE 2
A four- to five-day residential experience, depending on the cohort, including Structured Volunteerism.
PHASE 3
Structured connection and support continue after participants return home.
Referring someone to Camp Aftermath is an introduction, not an enrolment decision. Camp Aftermath will normally follow up with you, the referrer, first. If you confirm that the person you are referring has given permission to be contacted directly, Camp Aftermath may also reach out to them. Participation always remains their choice. If they decide to explore the program, more information may be requested later as part of the normal process.
Camp Aftermath is not an emergency or crisis service and does not replace medical, psychiatric or ongoing clinical care. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 9-1-1 or go to the nearest emergency department. Call or text 9-8-8 anywhere in Canada for suicide crisis support, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
If you have questions before making a referral, you are welcome to reach out directly.
